The Sealing Gasket is lathe cut nitrile to withstand hardening and cracking and provides a leak-free seal.

Metal End Caps provide added support for the filter media and prevent leaks.

Prescription Media: filter media specificallThe designed for use with today's coolants.

The Spiral Center Tube designe improves oil flow and provides increased strength and crush resistance compared to lock-seam or welded center tube designs.

WIX Heavey Duty coolant filters use full-feature base plates. This design fully supports the filter's seam and provides consistent loading during pulsation and vibrations on the base plate also work to eliminate a potential failur point that would exist on filters using chopped plates.

A Double-Lock Seam secures the can and cover-plate assembly. WIX Heavy Duty coolant filters use an added sealing compound to ensure a leak-free seal. The base plate and cover plate are joined by spot welds.

The filter can is specially designed to withstand high static pressures and is expoxy-coated inside, with a baked-enamel finish outside, to prevent trust and corrosion.

Plastic cap covers the spring and prevents the spring from potentially damaging the epoxy coating in the can.

Supplemental Collant Additive (SCA): chemistry that goes into the collant system to protect it from sleeve cavitation, corrosion and other cooling systems problems.

The kicked-and-tucked spring design used on all WIX HDcoolant filters keeps inner elements perpendicular and consistently sealed to the base plate. This means that no unfiltered fluid will bypass the filter element under all operating conditions and pressures.
